San
Luis Obispo has an airport, or you may choose to fly to Santa
Barbara and take the air bus north to San Luis Obispo. Rental
cars are available for anyone arriving either by air or train.
Also tours are available for those who wish come by tour bus.

In
the mid 1700's the Spanish fathers built missions up and down the Coast
of California. The Indians adjacent to the missions farmed and did other
chores of for the fathers. This part of California has a history decisively
different from majority of the United States. Such books as Looking
Backward into the Middle Kingdom by Daniel E. Krieger give insight
into those times.
San
Luis Obispo is
on California's Central Coast. It is 4 to 5 hours driving time north
of Los Angeles or south of San Francisco. You will find this area ideal
for short or longer vacations. It abounds in activities for the individual
and families.
Unlike
interior California, the Central Coast has cooler summers and warmer
winters with lots of sun. It is an ideal place to visit any time of
the year. It offers many, either free or inexpensive, outdoor activities.
Shopping, fine arts, quality crafts, music, the performing arts, and
special events are part of the Central Coast's entertainment. Ample
lodging and restaurants are here. Vineyards and their wineries are located
just outside town.
